The video cassette presents welding sets and techniques used in a number of important oxyacetylene welding operations.

AIM: The unit teaches trainees how to set up and use the oxyacetylene welding set in conformity with safety regulations and according to the correct sequence of operations; trainees are also shown how to perform a number of significant welding operations in accordance with required standards.
TOPICS. First of all, the video cassette shows how to setup a mobile single-position welding set and a fixed multiple-position welding set together with the necessary flame adjustment operations.
A number of trial welding operations are illustrated: the butt welding of steel plate in the end-to-end position on the flath; fillet welding at a plane-frontal angle; ascending vertical welding; and on-the-spot welding of a steel pipe.
Lastly, a number of welding defects are presented together with their causes.
